The two-days 7th PNAE Congress “Building to Last: European Perspectives on Integrated Paediatric Care in the Future” brought together a pediatric nursing community of more than 650 colleagues from across Europe.
The 7th PNAE Congress, provided an overview of the significant contribution that nurses make every day to the health of newborns, children, young people, and their families across the 25 PNAE member countries.
The colleagues from ANPDE (Association nationale des puéricultrices(teurs) diplômé(e)s et des étudiants) provided a great work in the organisation of the 7th PNAE Congress (Thanks!!!). This is not a given at all, it requires great generosity towards the European paediatric nursing community, a lot of energy and efforts in organising such an important Congress.
The result has been “magnifique”. We joined the effort and together with the PNAE members, especially those involved in the International Scientific and Organisational Committee, it was provided the amazing program of the 7th PNAE Congress that was very attractive and many nurses across Europe participated.
More then six hundreds registrated participants and fifty guests, mostly speakers, participated in the plenary sessions or in the workshops (n. 17) or as oral presentation speakers (n. 64) or in the poster walks (n. 26) and more than 45 e-posters were accepted for the Congress platform. The Faculty of the 7th PNAE Congress represented a general overview of the best scientific level of paediatric nursing community across Europe.
The 7th PNAE Congress was a great opportunity to come together and learn from one another. We were able to do this in such a beautiful venue and in the nice city of Issy-les-Moulineaux also so near Paris!. Not only meet and network but learn about practice, education, research and innovations to then take us forward in Nursing this very important younger population group and their families.
In the opening session, we received warm words of welcome from the President of ANPDE, Peggy Alonso and the vice President of ANPDE and Deputy co-ordinator of PNAE, Charles Eury. Moreover, the PNAE co-ordinator, Immacolata Dall’Oglio, gave the welcome message on behalf PNAE members. She also described the main responsibility of PNAE: to take our scientific knowledge, our clinical experience, as well as our organizational, training and research experience and make them available to the European paediatric nursing community. In her presentation she also proposed the next main challenges for the paediatric nursing in Europe, considering both the needs of newborns, children, young people and families, and those of nurses in the Health Care systems or Services across Europe.
Paediatric Nurses and nurses who take care of newborn, children, young people and families every day, are a ‘small’ group in the profession of Nursing and the 7th PNAE Congress put together this important professional community.
The PNAE members are already thinking and planning at the 8th PNAE Congress that will be held in London on 20th and 21st June 2028, thus everyone should stay tuned with PNAE, we’ll wait again a great international participation!
The PNAE members thank again all the keynote speakers, presenters and moderators, and to all of the participants across Europe for attending the 7th PNAE Congress!
