On 6th of October 2021, there was the fourth PNAE meeting on-line, hosted by Nottingham Children’s Hospital, UK.
Many nurses across Europe participated on behalf of their national Pediatric nurses Associations. We shared a new update about the impact of Covid-19 on children and young people and paediatric nursing across Europe
Moreover we mantained the connection among paediatric nursing associations of Europe nevertheless the Covid-19 world Pandemy.
The colleagues from Nottingham Children’s Hospital, Rachel Boardman, Joseph Manning and Marufu Takavira, provided an excellent presentation about the research, organization and clinical activities in their hospital. The hospital is the first children’s
hospital in Europe to receive the ANCC Pathway to Excellence Program
The PNAE members also had a good discussion on the Paediatric Early Worning Systems (PEWS) work and how to pace our activities moving forwards. The PNAE joined with ESPNIC (European Society for Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care) in conducting an European-wide PEWS survey.
