The 42nd PNAE meeting was held in Rome on 27th September. The PNAE representatives met in person at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital, IRCCS. The visit at some units of the hospital, with also the neonatal and the paediatric intensive care unit and the Paediatric Emergency Department was organized.
Jane Coad, PNAE coordinator opened the meeting. The chief nurses of the Hospital, Dr. Marcello De Santis (Nursing, Technician and Rehabilitation Service), Dr. Giuliana D’Elpidio (School of the Health care Professions “Pier Giorgio Frassati”) and Dr. Emanuela Tiozzo (Professional Development, Education and Research) presented the hospital and welcomed the PNAE members.
An update of paediatric nursing in Italy was proposed with also the participation of the deputy president of Italian Paediatric Nurse Register Commette , Dr. Maria Grazia Proietti.
The meeting was held the day before the 6th PNAE Congress and the PNAE members were very exciting for this great international event.
The Co-ordination Team thank the Nurses from Italy for the great host and all the PNAE members for their actively participation.
