The 47th PNAE meeting was held in person, hosted by France and it was connected to the 7th PNAE Congress.
It was an amazing meeting, which began with the sharing of the new PNAE lapel pins. As a welcome gesture, each PNAE member received a lapel pin from a nearby colleague and then offered it to the next PNAE member.
Charles Eury, the PNAE member from France, gave us, as hosting country, an update about paediatric nursing in France.
Moreover, he updated all of us on the latest news regarding the 7th PNAE Congress, organised in collaboration with the French National Association of Paediatric Nurses and Students (ANPDE), which will be attended by around 650 participants! And the PNAE members organised how better welcome the colleagues from all Europe.
At the meeting participated some new PNAE members: the President of the Norwegian Pediatric Nurses Association, Håkon Enda, the colleagues from Croatia, Ivana Horvat, and from Turkey, Ebru Temizsoy, President of Turkish Neonotal Nursing Assosciation. Moreover also Valentina Vanzi, the President of National Board for Paediatric Nurses of Italy, partecipated. Their participation was a great honour for all PNAE members and provided a valuable opportunity to meet each other and share PNAE working practices.
Consisting with the 47th PNAE meeting agenda, we received any update about: the article on PNAE article published on RIdEPE by Jane Coad (UK); the organisation of the EAPS Congress in Athens on 24-27th September, by Katrina Patrikkson (Sweden) and Vasiliky Matzious (Greece).
Last but not least, the Dr. Christine Magendie, President of European Confederation of Primary Care Pediatricians (ECPCP) offered us a very interesting presentation on the ECPCP mission and activities and we discussed about the possible and noumerous points of contact about PNAE and ECPCP in the future, considering the importance of health prevention and continuity of care in the community settings.
Finally Jane Coad and Carli Whittaker (UK), announced the preliminary information on the 8th PNAE Congress that will be held in London on June 2028. Please stay tuned for any update !
We thanks all the PNAE members for their active participation at the 47th PNAE meeting.
The report of the 47th meeting will be available on the PNAE website among few weeks.
