Dear PNAE Members, Colleagues and Nurses working with newborns, children, young people and their families across Europe.
In accordance with the values of the child’s “best interests” declared in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989), we strongly hope for a future year of peace across Europe and beyond. The main victims of conflict are always the children—both in the present and in their future. The future of children is the future of all of us, and the protection of healthcare professionals who care for them must also be safeguarded.
We thank you for your trust and support of PNAE throughout 2025! This has also been a very rewarding year for PNAE members, with many important contacts and activities.
We send you our warmest seasonal greetings. This year has brought excellent achievements, and we should all be proud. At PNAE last meeting in Luxembourg, we completed the PNAE Position Statement on the “Definition of Paediatric Nurse”. Other PNAE Position Statements will be reviewed and updated in the coming year.
